About Dr. Meghan

Dr. Meghan Betz has been a speech-language pathologist for more than 15 years. She received her Bachelor of Arts Summa Cum Laude from Loyola University Maryland majoring in Speech Pathology/Audiology and minoring in Special Education.  Meghan received a fellowship to the George Washington University where she completed her Master of Arts in Speech and Hearing Science.  

 

After graduating from GWU, Meghan began her career with Loudoun County Public Schools.  While working at LCPS, Meghan worked with many English learners and became interested in the intersection of second language learning and language disabilities.  Meghan went on to complete another degree - a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction focusing on Multilingual and Multicultural Education from George Mason University.

 

After nearly a decade at LCPS where she gained invaluable experience working with students from pre-school to high school and collaborating with exceptional teachers and therapists, Meghan   began a new journey. She started her private practice, Time to Talk, while pursuing her PhD at GMU .  Meghan earned her PhD in Education (Special Education) in 2018.
